Iris Tong, Medicine, was appointed an Assistant Dean of Medicine, Program in Liberal Medical Education.

Grants

Federica Accornero, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry, received $2,650,264 for “METTL3 in regulation of the aging process,” a transfer from the National Institute on Aging.

Leslie A. D. Brick, Psychiatry and Human Behavior, received $13,861 for “Mechanisms of Accelerated Aging: Stress, Health Behaviors, and the Role of Mitochondria.” The grant is a subaward through Butler Hospital from the National Institute on Aging.

Margaret Bublitz, Medicine, received $50,000 for “Targeting the brain-heart axis with TMS among reproductive aged women with PTSD,” a pilot award through the COBRE Center for Neuromodulation, funding by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.

Hannah Frank, Psychiatry and Human Behavior, received $42,306 for “COBRE Center for Sleep and Circadian Rhythms in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.” The grant is a subaward to Bradley Hospital through the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.                  

Mascha Frank, Psychiatry and Human Behavior, received $139,856 for “Cranial electrotherapy stimulation: Piloting a road to PTSD prevention in first responders.” The grant is a subaward through Butler Hospital from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.  

Laurie Griffin, Obstetrics and Gynecology, received $2500 for “Assessing Interventions to Increase Tdap Acceptance for Non-birthing Partners in Pregnancy (ITAPP)” from the Danielle Peress, MD Memorial Fund – SMFM.

Edward Huey, Psychiatry and Human Behavior, received $518,086 for “Genetics of neuropsychiatric symptoms in Alzheimer's disease in populations of diverse ancestries.” The grant is a subaward through DNU- Columbia University from the National Institute on Aging.                             

Chathuraka Jarasuriya, co-investigators Brett Owens, Braden Fleming, and Janine Molino Orthopaedics, received an R01 for “Bioactive Injectable Cell Scaffold for Meniscus Injury Repair in a Large Animal Model,” from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Disorders and NIGMS.
