The Diversity in Medicine Visiting Student Scholarship provides qualified underrepresented minority students with the opportunity to participate in clinical electives at The Warren Alpert Medical School.

IMSD at Brown provides research training support for students in underrepresented groups to significantly increase the participation of these groups within the fields of biomedical and behavioral research.

In partnership with the Leadership Alliance at Brown, The Warren Alpert Medical School faculty provide nine-week summer research opportunities for undergraduate students with an interest in life sciences.

The Early Identification Program (EIP) in Medicine for Tougaloo students started in 1976 as a route of admission to the medical school. Outstanding students committed to a career in medicine are invited to apply for this program. Students spend a semester at Brown before entering into the medical school.
