Information for Third- and Fourth-Year Medical Students

Dear AMS Students,

By now you have likely received email communication from President Paxson regarding the steps that the Brown community is taking to maintain the health and safety of our students and ultimately the patients we serve in Rhode Island.  We are sure many of you have unanswered questions and individual concerns.  We wanted to take a moment to provide you with some immediate guidance on next steps and best practice for students during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Please take a few moments to review the attached document.  We are here to answer your questions and address any concerns.

Covid-19 Guidance for AMS students

Additionally, we are working with clerkship directors and looking at ways to modify curriculum as needed in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Individual clerkship directors will communicate any changes to you as they come up.

Lastly, we want to let you know we have cancelled the intersession/CPR scheduled for March 30, 2020.  We know this is a very trying time and that this can be very anxiety provoking.  If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know.

Best,

Allan Tunkel, Paul George and Roxanne Vrees
