The series, led by faculty course director and former dean of the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University, will bring a discussion of healthcare topics at "the local, national, and systems level" through a series of topics in seven lectures.
Among the topics to be discussed include:
- "The Birth of the Medical-Industrial Complex in America" by former Pfizer executive and author Mike Magee;
- "Health Information Technology: Past, Present, and Future" by David Blumenthal, MD, PhD, and former CIO of Partners Healthcare System;
- and "Lessons from Washington DC" by former Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin, MD.
