B. Star Hampton is senior associate dean for medical education at The Warren Alpert Medical School. She oversees all programs related to undergraduate medical education, including student life, diversity and inclusion, curriculum, and admissions. She is also a professor of obstetrics and gynecology and medical science in the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. Her interests include clinical urogynecology, global health, and medical education, and she holds leadership roles in several national organizations.
Judy Jang ’03 MD’07 is the associate dean of medicine for the Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME) at Brown University and The Warren Alpert Medical School. In this role, Dr. Jang supports students’ academic, personal, and professional development as they transition from high school to college and then to medical school. Dr. Jang is a board-certified nephrologist, specializing in the management and treatment of acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, dialysis, and other kidney-related conditions.
Roxanne A. Vrees ’98 MD’03 RES’07 is the associate dean for student affairs at The Warren Alpert Medical School. In this role, she oversees the Office of Student Affairs and collaborates with the Offices of Faculty Professional Development, Student Development, Career Development, and Psychological Support Services on advising and student life in both preclinical and clinical years. Dr. Vrees has over a decade of experience in student advising and mentorship and is an academic specialist at Women & Infants. She has received multiple national teaching and mentorship awards.
Sarita Warrier RES’08 serves as the assistant dean for medical education at The Warren Alpert Medical School. She directs the second-year curriculum and the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship for the Primary CarePopulation Medicine Program, and is an active USMLE Step 1 advisor. She oversees students pursuing independent studies and serves as a faculty mentor for those in the Academic Scholars Program. Engaged in all aspects of the Office of Medical Education, she works with fellow deans, staff, and others across the medical school to ensure students’ needs are met.
