Medical School Reaccreditation

A central resource for the Medical School’s reaccreditation efforts during the self-study phase and intervening years.

RISE: Reflect. Imagine. Shape. Evolve.

The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University received a full eight-year accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) in October 2020.  To maintain this status, the Medical School is embarking on its next regular review cycle, which begins on October 28, 2026.

While the LCME self-study is a required part of the reaccreditation process, it also provides a chance to reflect on the Medical School's accomplishments, identify areas of opportunity, and consider its future.

Guided by RISE, the Medical School will approach this process as a collaborative effort that engages the community in evaluating its progress and shaping what comes next.
